Senator Mike Lee Endorses Mitt Romney for President

SALT LAKE CITY – Today, Senator Mike Lee endorsed Governor Mitt Romney for President.

“I am confident Mitt Romney is guided by strong conservative principles and that as President he will seek to restore constitutionally limited government," said Lee. "Governor Romney was the first Republican presidential candidate to support the Cut, Cap, and Balance Act, a conservative approach that would put the country on the path to fiscal sustainability. Mitt understands that excessive government regulation stifles economic prosperity, and I believe he will provide critical leadership that the country desperately needs. We must defeat President Obama and undo the damage caused by his administration, and I believe Mitt Romney is the right man for the job. I am proud to endorse Mitt Romney for President and will encourage fellow conservatives to do the same.”

Of the endorsement, Governor Romney said, “I am proud to have the support of Mike Lee. His endorsement comes at an important time for our campaign. Mike is one of the leading conservatives in the country and has fought tirelessly for the principles of limited government, individual liberty, and constitutional conservatism. His counsel will be important as we work to repeal Obamacare and restore fiscal responsibility.”
