Declaration of Restoration for America

Please, I am asking each of you to help spread the word about the Declaration of Restoration across America as we recreate Reagan's "morning in America" again. Join us in this effort and invite all your friends to do the same. Let the fire of the American spirit sweep across this land in a bid to restore the Republic. One voice added to millions can restore America to the dream which has been the hope of generations upon generations. “When in the course of human events…” these words began the creation of a nation which surpassed all others in the world. This monumental, historical document went on to say, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” It was just 235 years ago, the Declaration of Independence was written, and the grievances listed then are nearly the same today. With a federal government completely out of control, the national deficit spiraling painfully upward with no signs of stopping, the American people have had enough…but sadly, Washington, D.C. has not.

Radio talk show host, Tim Aalders, lost everything to the economic downturn of 2008, and he turned to the radio to share his views on the current state of affairs. Washington, D.C.’s out-of-control spending, over regulation, constant overstepping of its constitutional bounds, unbalanced trade agreements, and how it all affects Main Street, America became the overriding message of Buy Back America. What began in a friend’s basement, grew to the most popular show on Utah’s KTALK AM 630, three hours a day, five days a week, with 1.5 million listeners all over the United States.

One day, on air, Tim and I were discussing the fact that Washington, D.C. didn’t seem to be listening to the rallies, protests, emails, faxes, letters, or phone calls, and they certainly weren’t listening at the townhalls with their constituents. Tim went to bed that night, and arose a few scant hours later. Over the course of the next six hours he wrote what has become a declaration to Washington, D.C. But this time, the declaration didn’t declare independence, but rather a Declaration of Restoration.

Patterned after the Declaration of Independence, it began:

“Throughout the Course of Human Events, too often history has shown clear opposition to man’s assent for a higher purpose. It has, once again, become necessary for the People of the United States to remind themselves and their leaders of that greater purpose that binds them together. A decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they could declare the causes which impel them to the Restoration.”

“ If you’ve felt one person cannot make a difference, watch the Declaration of Restoration. One man, with a vision, is uniting Americans to deliver Washington, D.C. a message. Watch or read, and then sign this Declaration of Restoration, and if you can, please make a donation. Every voice matters, make yours count,” Aalders said. Buy Back America grew from a one-man-show to a co-host, producer/call screener, PR, movie and television producer. A full team now works to bring Tim Aalders’ dream, indeed the dream of the entire team, of a Restored America brought back to life.

And what is that dream? It is American businesses booming again, manufacturing returning to our shores, constitutional rights fully restored, the federal government pared back, Main Street bustling with the life of Mom and Pop businesses, and the states returning to the strength of power they once had. It is a nation utilizing its resources, its people, and the vision of the Founding Fathers in being self-sufficient, strong, and unfailing in its cause for liberty and freedom.

The Declaration of Restoration quickly grew from a written document, to a video with Americans from all walks of life, to plans for a national bus tour. Tim, and his co-host, along with the Buy Back America team, embarked upon the monumental task of planning a bus tour to 33 different American cities, filming the American story along the way. Rallying and uniting the American people to the single cause of restoring America to a fiscally responsible, constitutionally limited government, became the purpose of the tour.

The documentary will do more than show the uniting of the American people, but will also show those relegated to the tent cities of California, the tornado devastated cities of the Heartland, as well stories of family businesses, some failed, and some still surviving. We will share the story of the resiliency of the American Spirit as it is reborn. For that spirit which carved a nation out of an unforgiving land, can bring America from the ashes of its financial ruin to the economic power and bastion of liberty it once was.

Tim, Candace, and his team are taking the message of the Declaration of Restoration directly to Washington, D.C., mutually pledging their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor, to the restoring of the United States of America to Reagan’s “shining city on a hill,” for we can fulfill his declaration of it being morning in America again.
