I don't have much to say today . . . I know . . . shock and awe! I just wanted to drop in and tell everyone that I hope 2008 brings much happiness, joy, comfort and and peace to your lives.

Don't you just love the crispness of a new frosty wintery morning? Wow, it invigorates me so much!

  1. Hey Candace,
I noticed that you said go Mitt Romney at the end of your blog. Now before I start I am FOR Mitt. Do you really think that he has a chance? With all of the mud slinging and everything? I think it would be great to have an LDS president but, he has had s much crap thrown at him, and the media making look like he contradicts himself.

  3. Reginald - thanks for dropping by. And yes, I actually do think Mitt Romney has a chance, in fact, my gut says he's going to win the whole kit and kaboodle and will be the next president of the United States. Now my gut has been wrong before, but I hope not this time.

As to the excessive and raging vitriol crossing the airwaves, internet, email boxes and snail mail boxes -- it's backfiring quite a bit. There are those who weren't interested in looking into the Church before who are now looking. The haters must be losing their minds if just one comes to gospel of Jesus Christ when it is the exact opposite they want.

  4. Thanks Marja. Invigorating is a good word, isn't it?

  5. This is a gorgeous picture . . . and I am a little surprised at the short blog. :) I tend to be chatty myself and sometimes post three blogs in a day. So what do I know?

  7. referring to the 1st comment -
for me, Wanting Mitt for President has nothing to do with his religion. He is just, by far, the best choice. It would be a dream to have someone like him, no matter what the faith, in the White House.
No, not because of religion, think fellow Mormon, Harry Reid, I would not vote for him in a million years, though he is a member of my faith. In fact its safe to bet I'd campaign against him!
    Go Mitt!!

  8. That photos awesome. We haven't had much in 'nice' winter weather here in the Uk. Just rain, rain, wind and just for a change. Rain.

  10. Concur about Mitt. Whenever he has shown how his views differ from other Republican candidates, he always prefaces those remarks with, "So and so is a good guy, but we disagree on certain political views and here's how..." His opponents just make personal attacks on his character. Eventually that will backfire on them.

People that try to dig pits for others, frequently fall into them.

  11. Pedaling - I agree with you 100%. Mitt's religion has nothing to do with why I'm voting. His stance on the issues, his moral fiber and his belief in God . . . that's why I'm voting for him. Not to mention he has been successful at everything he has tried and done an incredible job every time. I'd like to see him get his hands on our government and start cleaning house.

  12. Tristi - I'm a little surprised too. But Jarel is still here and I'm enjoying spending time with him. So that's probably a great deal of what's going on. Alvin and I are enjoying Jarel's visit with us.

  16. Do you walk outside when it's frosty like that Candace? I went for a walk with my dog the other day when it was only 9 degrees. I didn't dress warmly enough so my walk got cut short but ... I loved the crispness of the morning, the stillness of the air. Lovely.

  18. Lots of unexpected political drama here! As for me, I'm just a Canadian bystander, but I'd like to see someone with a morally sound backbone in the Whitehouse - for a change. Happy New Year, Candice. I looked for your book in a local bookstore and couldn't find it. Perhaps it was just out of stock.
Love the photo! It looks so ethereal – like the dark branches are reaching out to try and snuff out the snow’s white brilliance. (I hope the snow wins for a few more days at least!) :)
