Maurine Proctor of Family Leader reported: "They hate Palin because she is a feisty, vibrant, can-do reformer who represents everything they hope to marginalize. She believes in life, marriage, family and religion. She believes in good and evil, right and wrong and is willing to say it. When faced with giving birth to a Down's Syndrome child that studies show some 90% of parents would have aborted, she not only gave birth to Trig, but says of him , "Sometimes even the greatest joys bring challenge. And children with special needs inspire a special love."
"Governor Palin has the Left shivering because she can be such a powerful force to rally the enthusiasm and hope of ordinary Americans who still hold traditional values. She has reignited the troops in the culture war.
"Examples abound of Palin's shoddy treatment. New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd compares her nomination to watching a chick flick. She writes: "This chick flick, naturally, features a wild stroke of fate, when the two-year governor of an oversized igloo becomes commander in chief after the president-elect chokes on a pretzel on day one.
"The P.T.A. is great preparation for dealing with the K.G.B.," President Palin murmurs to Todd, as they kiss in the final scene while she changes Trig's diaper. "Now that Georgia's safe, how 'bout I cook you up some caribou hot dogs and moose stew for dinner, babe?"
Gloria Steinem offered this in an opinion column, "This isn't the first time a boss has picked an unqualified woman just because she agrees with him and opposes everything most other women want and need."
I don't even know where to start! I get so sick of people, like these two morons above, and yes I know exactly who I am calling a moron and I'm standing by it! I have to assume that people who have never had to work the earth for their food, care for the cattle or bison, hunt wild game in order to feed their families, don't really know where food comes from. In all their ignorance and stupidity they trot on down to the grocery store, or pay someone to do said trotting, wander up and down the aisles picking up packages of food without ever stopping to think where it came from or the people who made it possible to be there.
I am truly sick to death of people who denigrate the Western way of life. You know, the one that says, "Pull yourself up by your bootstraps, throw your shoulders back and TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!" Then there is the added Western philosophy, "Always help a neighbor or stranger in need." The two are not mutually exclusive, except in the mindset of the liberal northeast.
I am so proud of Sarah Palin! She hunts. Well good for her. Unlike people trapped in the apartments of the city highrises with all their cafes, bistros, art galleries and curiosity shops, Governor Palin's family will never go hungry in a crisis such as the ones which hit other nations, and our own, frequently. She can fish and shoot caribou . . . love it! I haven't had caribou, but bear, moose, elk, deer and buffalo taste great. We should be holding these accomplishments up to be admired, not ridiculed.
Governor Palin believes in the sanctity of human life. Hallelujah once more! She not only professes to believe in that sanctity, she lives as she believes. She is a woman to be proud of, not belittle. She is a woman to be held up as an example, not denigrate because she doesn't believe in the wholesale slaughter of infants. I stand with her 100%.
And the insults to Alaska are astounding. That state, in all its wild and astounding beauty, provides 20% of this nation's energy. It raises men and women who know who to fight the earth to survive, feed the earth so she continues to produce and survive at all odds. Huh, what do we need people like that for? Oh yeah, because if we had to depend on morons like Dowd and Steinem we'd all starve, and be walking, to death.
McCain didn't pick her because she agrees with him. What a moronic statement . . . but then, I already mentioned that, didn't I. Governor Palin is far more conservative than McCain and it is she, not he, that has galvanized the Conservatives of the Republican Party. She is the one who has united the party, plain and simple. I had not donated a dime to the McCain campaign until he chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. Now I have. She gives me hope. She gives me strength. And it is my fervent prayer that McCain will listen to her, really listen to her.
McCain says he can't wait to turn her loose on Washington, D.C. I hope he really does that, because with a woman like Sarah Palin it doesn't matter who you are or what you do . . . if you're a corrupt fatcat living off the fruit of other people's labors while you're robbing them blind, she'll be gunning for you. I really like that, a lot!
So Gloria Steinem doesn't agree with Palin. Hallelujah!
So Maureen Dowd doesn't agree with Palin. Halle-freakin-lujah!
So the liberal media thinks that being a mayor and having $2,000,000 in the surplus of an 8,000 person town isn't experience. So the liberal media thinks that being governor of a state like Alaska means nothing. Governor Palin took the "good old boys" network and smashed it. Heavens, that's nothing to admire. Governor Palin took on the corruptions and wiped it out. Yeah, we should ridicule that. Governor Palin is a woman, a real woman, not a paper cutout . . . we should definitely toss her back in. Please. Sarah Palin has done everything Steinem wishes she would have done. So instead of admiring and supporting her, Steinem is trying to chop Palin down. Yeah, good luck with that! Sarah Palin will mop the floor with you and throw you out with the dirty water.
Huh, Barack Obama has been a senator for three years and running for president for 18 months of those three years. Oh yeah, he has loads more experience. Not! Oh, I forgot. He was a community organizer . . . and he's a communist . . . and he believes babies who survive abortion should be left to die (check his Illinois voting record, people). . . and he's a radical . . . and he's so far left, the left is wondering how they got left behind . . . and he wants to tax America into oblivion and third world status . . . oh yeah, he'll be great for America. Really, people? Come on, you can't see the problem here?
My mom made a suggestion years ago: America should have a firesale and give the northeast to Canada. They don't think like real Americans anyway!
Now I'm sure there are perfectly sensible northeasterners, but I gotta say . . . you can't tell that by their news: t.v., radio and print.
So here's the thing. Lay off Governor Palin if all you can do is take potshots at her values and morals. Just because you wouldn't know a moral or value if you saw one doesn't mean they aren't valuable in someone else. Oh wait, that's right. You can't attack her on the issues because she's right and you're wrong. She is a strong, vibrant, successful woman and you feel intimidated by her. Well, you should. She's actually accomplished something in her life, while being a wife and mother. If she's admired then what will people think of you? So yeah, I guess I can see why you're belittling her . . . you're taking a trip back to grade school, determined to destroy the "girl" who is better than you in every possible way.
Well Gloria, this woman believes as Sarah Palin believes. This woman stands with Sarah Palin. This woman will fight as long and as hard as Sarah Palin did to make sure people like you lose your voice in America. Oh, I don't want your voice taken away, I want a light shined on it to show the world that you are petty, mean little woman who can't take a vibrant, successful woman aspiring to the 2nd highest office in the land.
Maureen, I got nothin'. You are blinding in your ignorance and pettiness. So everything I just wrote to Gloria, I write to you.
The John McCain/Sarah Palin ticket has my vote, my support and my voice. Sarah Palin is an amazing woman who accomplishes what she sets out to do. How is that bad exactly?
And there ends my rant for today! Here's video from Stephanie Nielson's (from yesterday's post) family on the Today Show:
My brother, Cash, responded to this post with an email which said:
ReplyDelete"... ridicule is the last argument of the wicked! When their arguments no longer have effect they resort to ridicule. It has been that way for all of history. Why would they change now."
