Accusing API of colluding with American internet bloggers in an effort to bring down her husband, Mrs Obama said she decided to call API because of what she termed, API’s help to spread rumours created by American bloggers and other racist media outlets in their efforts to damage a black man’s name, saying she hopes African Media was mature enough to be in the front to give unwavering support to her husband, a man Africans should identify themselves with.

When API told her that our online news media was only relaying what the American Bloggers and other media outlets had discovered through their investigations, Mrs Obama was angered and she came out loud with the following: “African press International is supposed to support Africans and African-American view,” and she went to state that, “it is strange that API has chosen to support the racists against my husband. There is no shame in being adopted by a step father. All dirt has been thrown onto my husband’s face and yet he loves this country. My husband and I know that there is no law that will stop him from becoming the president, just because some American white racists are bringing up the issue of my husband’s adoption by His step father. The important thing here is where my husband’s heart is at the moment. I can tell the American people that My husband loves this country and his adoption never changed his love for this country. He was born in Hawaii, yes, and that gives him all the right to be an American citizen even though he was adopted by a foreigner; says Michelle Obama on telefon to API.”

This is a very interesting turn of events. The American man Dr Corsi was recently reported to have been arrested in Kenya because there was fear that he might reveal information on Obama when he wanted to hold a press conference in Nairobi.

The question now is why he was arrested and who ordered his arrest. Was Obama’s hand in this in any way? We will never know the truth but what is clear is that Dr Corsi was seen as a threat while in Kenya.

When API asked Mrs Obama to comment on why Dr Corsi was arrested by the Kenyan government and whether she thought Kenya’s Prime Minister Mr Raila Odinga was involved in Dr Corsi’s arrest, she got irritated and and simply told API not to dig that which will support evil people who are out to stop her husband from getting the presidency.

When asked who she was referring to as the evil people, she stated that she was not going to elaborate much on that but that many conservative white people and even some African Americans were against her husband, but that this group of blacks were simply doing so because of envy.

On Farakhan and his ministry, Mrs Obama told API that it was unfortunate that Mr Farakhan came out the way he did supporting her husband openly before the elections was over. That was not wholehearted support but one that was calculated to convince the American people that my husband will support the growth of muslim faith if he became the president, adding “even if my husband was able to prove that he is not a Muslim, he will not be believed by those who have come out strongly to destroy his chances of being the next President. Do real people expect someone to deny a religion when 80 percent of his relatives are Muslims?; Mrs Obama asked.

Mrs Obama asked API to write a good story about her husband and that will earn API an invitation to the innoguration ceremony when, as she put it , her husband will be installed as the next President of the United States of America next year.

My Response:

Obama was born to an American citizen, his mother. The question at stake right now is whether his parents (mother and stepfather) renounced his American citizenship when he became an Indonesian citizen. If they did, then yes, Obama is not eligible to be president of the United States of America. This is being handled in the courts. The easy fix, which Obama has refused to do, is provide the complete legal documentation and resolve the situation. He has not.

Of greater interest in your article is the doctor in Kenya who was arrested. I noticed Mrs. Obama did not answer your question. Something she and her husband are very good at doing. Ignoring or denying fact and truth staring them straight in the face.

She constantly expresses hate for everyone who does not support her husband. But I can clearly tell you that I am not racist, nor do I care if Obama is black; which he is, white; which he is, or purple with pink polka dots. Of greater concern to me is his fondness for the doctrine of Karl Marx and his liberal quoting of Marx in his campaign rhetoric, point in case: redistribution of wealth, just as an example of one Marxist doctrine he is pounding into the American people at this date.

Of more interest is his stark stance against life and the 2nd Amendment, his support of usurpation of parental rights in education, pro-gay marriage, his 94 votes to support the raising of taxes or against the cutting of taxes, universal health care, his intention to tax the American people and economy into oblivion, his anti-American energy stance and on and on . . .

Mrs. Obama can say it's race, but that's a weak ploy to guilt people into voting for her husband who has shown a distinct lack of integrity, patriotism and courage in his political career. She may say they love America, but they only love the America they intend to form, not the one millions of Americans have fought and died for . . . nor the one that encourages free enterprise and pursuing of dreams. They want to slap the American dream back and allow only those they choose to succeed. Am I wrong? Just look at the man's rhetoric, he's been very clear in his intentions.

America is not a communist nation. America is not a socialist nation, contrary to the evidence. We are a democracy carried on the vehicle of a Republic. We are a nation of the people, by the people and for the people. As much as Mrs. Obama would like to change that . . . she cannot. I, and millions upon millions of Americans, will not let her.

It is imperative the American people realize the danger of the Obama to this great nation. When going to the polls on November 4th, in order to preserve this nation, we MUST vote for John McCain. And then we must send him a clear and distinct mission, we are watching.

The American people are done with having our federal government run amuck while lining their own pockets. The American people are done with sending trillions of dollars to other countries for oil. The American people are done with having the homosexual lifestyle forced on us. The American people are done with godlessness reigning in the hallowed halls of Congress. The American people are done with atheists telling us we don't have the right to believe in our God. The American people are done with our elected officials ignoring us. For the people, of the people and by the people . . . remember, because we have every intention of taking our nation back.

Michelle Obama can go into the backyard, kick at the dirt and sing . . . "Everybody hates me, nobody likes me, think I'm gonna eat some worms. . ." Really, that's what HER rhetoric sounds like.

I declare that battle now. And our battleground will be the polls on November 4th. The executive, judicial and legislative branches were set up as a checks and balances against one another. If the Democrats win a super majority they will set out to systematically destroy this country, unchecked.

What is a super majority? A Democrat in the White House and a substantial Democrat majority in both the Senate and House. They are pushing for a filibuster proof legislative branch so that they implement their programs: taxing the American people into oblivion, robbing Americans of their Constitutional rights, increasing the federal government's reach into our personal businesses and lives, ceasing our push for energy independence and increasing our dependence on the largess of our enemies . . . oh, and we're going to continue paying those same enemies for the right to be held hostage by our foreign energy independence.

To my fellow Americans, I urge you to remember the following on November 4th:

1. We must be energy independent, this need has not disappeared with the banking crisis.
2. We must win the War on Terror. Things have improved tremendously in Iraq and the larger part of the Iraqi people are very happy with the Americans who came and sacrificed, insuring their ability to live free of tyranny and fear. But we are still at war, as long there are Jihadists left who are determined to convert the world to Islam and destroy all who stand in their path, then we must fight to preserve this nation and the safety of her citizens.
3. We must insure Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are brought to account for the havoc they wreaked on the American economy, along with those banks recklessly playing the derivatives market, insuring Americans remains in debt and slavery to foreign interest. In addition, Congressman Barney Frank, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, Senator Chris Dodd and others, who stood directly in the path of accountability of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. At this point, since the economy has taken such a direct hit, these people should be brought up on charges of treason . . . because their actions have directly resulted in the economic disaster we find ourselves in now.
   
4. We must protect the rights of the American people and insure the Fairness Doctrine is not passed, as Nancy Pelosi has gleefully stated will be passed as soon as they have a super majority.
5. We must keep taxes low and business booming which will restore the economy to a healthy balance.
6. We must maintain our 2nd Amendment rights and refuse to allow a left-wing monster like Barack Hussein Obama to steal them from us.
   

The only way to accomplish all these critical things is to vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin on November 4th.

Recipe: Guacamole

Ah, one of my favorite things to eat are tortilla chips dipped in guacamole and salsa. LOVE IT. Over the years I've developed my own style of guacamole and I believe it is definitely "the bomb!"

When my husband and I were first married we really wanted to have children. We were both in our early thirties when we married and we decided to not waste any time. Something neither of us could have planned was the amount of guacamole, salsa and corn tortilla chips I would crave with each pregnancy.

Although we were not blessed with children, to this day there is simply nothing I enjoy more than sitting down to the table with a bowl of guacamole, a bowl of salsa and a bag of tortilla chips. Hmmm, wild guess what I'm going to get up and make as soon as I finish this blog!


Guacamole

5 Ripe Avocados
1 to 2 Serving Spoons of Sour Cream
½ t. Lemon Juice
2 Shakes Seasoning Salt

Optional

1 Small tomato (diced)
½ Small onion (diced)

Halve, peel, remove pit and place ripe avocados in a bowl. Mash down and then blend with an electric mixer. Add sour cream and blend. Add lemon juice, seasoning salt and blend until smooth.

Hand stir in tomato and onion.

Serve with tortilla chips, burritos, tacos, tostadas or taco salads. Or, you know, just eat with a spoon!

America's Viewpoint: Arizona

An older brother speaking to his younger brother on the state of America and the presidential race:

Just remember that we ALL started out as "dumb kids". Dad didn't mean that you were a dummy, not smart, just a kid, and kids are mostly dumb, not because they lack smarts, just don't know how the world works. We all had crazy ideas about how things "should" be, and that, if given the chance, we would show the rest of the world how things should be done.

Anyway, I am not a lemming, I don't forward emails, or listen to a narrow spectrum of points of view. I listen to everyone who speaks, I research (i.e. read a lot) the topic, and decide for myself whom I will believe. Based on my understanding of where you stand, from the things you have said, I am curious to know where you are getting the information upon which you are basing your beliefs?

As an individual, are you not at all affected by the history of your own upbringing? Don't most of us, at least to a certain degree, have a foundation which is based upon the things we were taught as children? If that is true, to any extent, doesn't it, then, seem plausible that Senator Obama might have some fairly anti-American tendencies? Have you read anything from his own books?

Have you studied real Muslim theology? Or talked to any devout Muslims? I have. I have researched William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and read up on some of the not so above board financial dealings in which Sen. Obama was involved in back in Chicago.

If you spend some time tracking an animal through the wild, you can learn a lot about that particular animal, and also about the species. The same is true about a person. If you, as a police officer, were trying to find out about a person, what he was about, wouldn't you look at his known associates, places he frequented, investigate his dealings? If you really do that with Sen. Obama, you MUST see that the man has, at the very least, a cloudy past.

Even if you put all that aside, and just look at what he has done since becoming a Senator, don't you think that the guy needs more of a track record before we put him in the chair of the most powerful office in the world? Leave all the discussion about non-votes, bad votes, and everything else out of it and look at it as though you were hiring this man to run your company while you are away for 4 years. Totally on his own, without your input, do you actually believe that he has the qualifications, the experience, the track record, for you to be able to trust him implicitly with your baby?

See, I don't believe that he does. Oh, he talks a good days work, but I don't see where he has done very many of them. This is terribly important, because we, as a country, are at a critical crossroad in our history. There has been so much damage done, by everyone who has sat in that office over the last 20 years, that it might well come down to just the next two years. If we don't make the right moves, every step of the way, there may not be a United States of America anymore.

I am not being overly dramatic here. The world owns more of us than we own ourselves, and the time is fast approaching when the notes will be called due. The amount of leverage against us in the financial world, among countries who do not care if we go under, is monumental. This is very likely the equivalent to "the straw that broke the camel's back".

We need strength, courage, experience and wisdom, along with a powerful military, to survive against the forces who are gathering against us. We need a military man, willing to sacrifice his all for this country, as we go forward into these most difficult of times.

A moderate won't do. A "world citizen" would be disastrous. We need an American, tried and true, to take care of OUR people, OUR country, first and foremost.

It is time for the American people to rise up and we must do so on November 4th. We will not stoop to the level of jihadists, dictators and more. We will do as Americans have done since this country was founded, every American who loves this nation as Reagan's "shining city on a hill", who believes in democracy and decries socialism and communism, who believes in the American dream, who understand that only in America can true hope be found . . . these are the Americans who must rise up, by the millions, and make their voices heard on November 4th.

Barack Hussein Obama will destroy America. He is violently anti-Semitic. He has, despite his words, immersed himself in black liberation theology, surrounded himself with terrorists and others who hate America . . . This is my America. She is great. She is good. She is a vehicle for good and always will be. We will bow to no one. We will not become Europe. We will not become a Muslim nation, for we are a nation founded on Judeo-Christian principles, as much as people might want to deny this. We are a nation of god-fearing Christians who live side-by-side with each other, regardless of religion. or lack thereof. We are a nation of imperfections, but we see them and we try to rectify them.

We DO NOT throw democracy away! We DO NOT associate with terrorists! We DO NOT accept anti-Semitism or bias in any way. We DO NOT accept others' view of America. This is our America, we must take her back from the gnarly clutches of those grasping to rob us of our freedoms and destroy our Consitution.

Speak up. Be heard. On November 4th, cast your vote for McCain/Palin . . . for he has fought for America in every possible way and she has taken on corruption and won. They love America, Barack Obama does not. McCain/Palin are the hope of the nation at this time. If we wish to have an America in 2012, you must not vote for Barack Obama, he will destroy us and he will not be shy or slow about it.

Who is to blame for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Running Unchecked

I think it is very clear where the responsibility lies for letting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac running unchecked and playing a large part in the breakdown of the United States of America economic system.

Are Americans really going to put back in office the men and women who brought about the downfall of America's economic system? I say, No. The Republicans must be put back in the majority in the Senate and the House. The president's feet must be held to the fire and it is time THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT STOP ROBBING US BLIND AND LISTEN TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE! We are the ones who elected you, we will remove you. Do not fail us again!

I want nothing to do with the representatives and senators who blocked John McCain and every other Republican's attempt to reign in those wreaking, what was at the time, the impending doom which now befalls us. America, you must, absolutely must take back the reigns and let your congressman and senators know, they serve at your behest, not the other way around. Fire those who drove this disaster: Maxine Waters, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and every other Democrat who stood in the way. Vote responsibly on November 4th, I beg of you.

Warrior. Loyalty. They are what stands between us and our enemies. They stand between us and those who would destroy us and our "freedom of religion," "right to keep and bear arms," "freedom of speech," and so much more. Support our troops with everything in you.

My beloved brethren and sisters, humbly and gratefully I stand before you this morning and seek an interest in your faith and prayers that the message that I have may be accompanied by the Spirit. It is a wonderful sight that I view here this morning. It is good to be with you, my beloved young friends, distinguished members of the faculty, and special guests.

My wife and I have just returned from a glorious weekend at St. George, where I had the privilege of addressing three overflow audiences, two in the largest auditorium they have at Dixie College and made up largely of young people, and one on the fourth floor of the temple in a Solemn Assembly. We were honoring the centennial of the dedication of the St. George Temple, the first one to be erected in the western part of the country. We are still basking in the aftermath of another great general conference of the Church. Never in my memory have we had more explicit warnings from prophets of God; and nowhere in the world are there men better prepared or more obligated to issue such warnings.

The Celestial Kingdom

Today I want to discuss some principles and laws of the celestial kingdom, and some of the fallacies of their perverted counterfeits in the world. I share with you a vision of your eternal possibilities. The celestial kingdom, residence of God, our Eternal Father, is comprised of men and women who have complied with divine law and who were not deceived by the craftiness of men or the doctrines of devils. They are just men made perfect through the mediation and atonement of Jesus Christ (see D&C 76:69). They are obedient to celestial law; for, as the Lord has said, he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory (D&C 88:22).

Celestial laws, embodied in certain ordinances belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ, are complied with by voluntary covenants. The laws are spiritual. Thus, our Father in Heaven has ordained certain holy sanctuaries, called temples, in which these laws may be fully explained, the laws include the law of obedience and sacrifice, the law of the gospel, the law of chastity, and the law of consecration.

I want to speak more particularly this morning about this one law--the law of consecration. It is that one's time, talents, strength, property, and money are given up to the Lord for the express purpose of building up the kingdom of God and establishing Zion on the earth. Or, as we read in Doctrine and Covenants 105:5, "Zion cannot be built up unless it is by the principles of the law of the celestial kingdom."

Much has been written about this law and its attempted implementations in the early history of the Church; and much deception has taken root, even among some of our members, because of misinformed opinion or misguided interpretations. Some view it as merely an economic alternative to capitalism or the free enterprise system, others as an outgrowth of early communal experiments in America. Such a view is not only shortsighted but tends to diminish in importance a binding requirement for entrance into the celestial kingdom. The law of consecration is a celestial law, not an economic experiment.

The vehicle for implementing the law of consecration is the united order. The basic principle underlying the united order is that everything we have belongs to the Lord; and, therefore, the Lord may call upon us for any and all of our property, because it belongs to him. The united order was entered by "a covenant and a deed which cannot be broken" (D&C 42:30), according to the scriptures. In other words, an individual conveys his titles to all his property to the Church through the bishop. The property becomes the property of the Church. You read about this in the forty-second section of the Doctrine and Covenants.

The bishop then deeds back to the consecrator by legal instrument the amount of personal property required by the individual for the support of himself and his family, as the Lord declares, "according to his circumstances and his wants and needs" (D&C 51:3). This becomes the private, personal property of the individual to develop as he sees fit. It is his stewardship. When an individual produces a profit or surplus more than is needful for the support of himself and his family, the surplus is then placed in the bishops storehouse to administer to the poor and the needy. Under the united order, idleness has no place, and greed, selfishness, and covetousness are condemned. The united order may therefore operate with only a righteous people.

It has been erroneously concluded by some that the united order is both communal and communistic in theory and practice because the revelations speak of equality. Equality under the united order is not economic and social leveling as advocated by some today. Equality, as described by the Lord, is "equal[ity] according to [a man's] family, according to his circumstances and his wants and needs" (D&C 51:3).

Is the united order a communal system? Emphatically not. It never has been and never will be. It is "intensely individualistic." Does the united order eliminate private ownership of property? No. "The fundamental principle of this system [is] the private ownership of property" (J. Reuben Clark, Jr., Conference Report, October 1942, p. 57).

Two separate groups of saints have fully implemented this divine law. The first was the united order under Enoch, wherein the Lord designated this people Zion, "because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness; and there was no poor among them." We read of this in the seventh chapter, eighteenth verse, of Moses, in the Pearl of Great Price. A second instance was the Nephite civilization following the visit of the Savior to the Western Hemisphere after his resurrection. This is recorded in 4 Nephi, the third verse particularly. The failure of the early Saints in this dispensation to live according to the fulness of the law is explained by the Lord in revelations recorded in the Doctrine and Covenants, sections 101 and 105.

I repeat and emphasize that the law of consecration is a law for an inheritance in the celestial kingdom. God, the Eternal Father, his Son Jesus Christ, and all holy beings abide by this law. It is an eternal law. It is a revelation by God to his Church in this dispensation. Though not in full operation today, it will be mandatory for all Saints to live the law in its fulness to receive celestial inheritance. You young people today abide a portion of this higher law as you tithe, pay a generous fast offering, go on missions, and make other contributions of money, service, and time.

Satan's Counterfeit System

But whenever the God of heaven establishes by revelation his design, Satan always comes among men to pervert the doctrine, saying, "Believe it not." He often establishes a counterfeit system, designed to deceive the children of men. His aim, as it was before the foundation of this earth was laid, is to thwart the agency of man and to subjugate him. Throughout all ages of mankind, the adversary has used human agents and despotic governments to establish his purpose. Satan is determined to destroy all that is dear, all that will ennoble and exalt man to a celestial kingdom.

Isaiah foresaw the time when a marvelous work and a wonder would come forth among men (see Isaiah 29:14). Isaiah also predicted that there would be those that "seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they [shall] say, Who seeth us?" (Isaiah 29:15). He saw the time when the work, man, shall say of him that made him, "He made me not," denying his creation (see Isaiah 29:16). It is well to ask what self-proclaimed atheists came on the human scene following the restoration of the gospel, who established secret works of darkness to overthrow nations by violent revolution and who blasphemously proclaimed the atheistic doctrine that God made us not. Yes, Satan works through human agents. We need only look to some of the ignoble figures in human history who were contemporary to the restoration of the gospel to discover fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy. I refer to the infamous founders of communism, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Today, if we are alert, we can see further fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecies.

Communism--a System Antithetical to the Gospel of Christ

Through the instigation of Marx and Engels, a most successful counterfeit to the united order was introduced into the world. The declaration of principles found in their Manifesto to the World advocated the overthrow of capitalism and free enterprise, the abolition of private property, the elimination of the family as a social unit, the abolition of all classes, the overthrow of all governments, and the establishment of communal ownership of property in a classless, stateless society. All this was to be accomplished by revolution.

On July 3, 1936, the First Presidency published this warning to Church members. I quote it in part; I hope you will get a copy of the full statement for your files. In part, the statement reads:

. . . Communism is not a political party, nor a political plan under the Constitution; it is a system of government that is the opposite of our Constitutional government. . . .

Since Communism, established, would destroy our American Constitutional government, to support Communism is treasonable to our free institutions, and no patriotic American citizen may become either a Communist or supporter of Communism.

To our Church members we say, Communism is not the United Order, and bears only the most superficial resemblance thereto. Communism is based upon intolerance and force, the United Order upon love and freedom of conscience and action. . . .

Communists cannot establish the United Order, nor will Communism bring it about. . . .

Communism being thus hostile to loyal American citizenship and incompatible with true Church membership, of necessity no loyal American citizen and no faithful Church member can be a Communist.

We call upon all Church members completely to eschew [and shun] Communism. The safety of our divinely inspired Constitutional government and the welfare of our Church imperatively demand that Communism shall have no place in America.

The First Presidency

You students have only to read some of the speeches and writings of the exiled Russian Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn to appreciate this farsighted warning of the First Presidency.

I have been on both sides of the Iron Curtain several times. I have talked to these godless leaders face to face. I say to you with all the sincerity of my soul that since 1933 this godless counterfeit to the gospel has made tremendous progress towards its objective of world domination, for over one-third of the human family are now under totalitarian subjugation.

Today we are in a battle for the bodies and souls of men. It is a battle between two opposite systems: freedom and slavery, Christ and anti-Christ. The struggle today is more momentous than a decade ago, yet today the conventional wisdom, so called, is that we have got to learn to live with communism, to give up our ideas about national sovereignty. You hear that repeated today. Tell that to the millions--yes, the scores of millions--who have met death or imprisonment under the tyranny of communism. Learn to live with communism? Such would be the death knell of freedom and all we hold dear.

The gospel of Jesus Christ can prosper only in an atmosphere of freedom. As members of his Church, we have a major responsibility to do all in our power to see that freedom is preserved and safeguarded. I pray that God will bless you to see communism for what it really is: the greatest system of human slavery that the world has ever known. May you not be deceived into believing that the communists have moderated their goal toward world domination. I say to you that so-called detente is a fraud. Time will prove it to be such.

There is no excuse for any BYU instructor to grant a forum to an avowed communist for the purpose of teaching communism on this campus. It may be done on other campuses in the United States, but it will not be done here.

Socialism--a Philosophy Incompatible with Man's Liberty

Another notable counterfeit system to the Lord's plan is collectivized socialism. Socialism derives its philosophy from the founders of communism, Marx and Engels. Communism in practice is socialism. Its purpose is world socialism, which the communists seek to achieve by revolution, and which the socialists seek to achieve by evolution. Both communism and socialism have the same effect upon the individual--a loss of personal liberty. As was said so well by President J. Reuben Clark, Jr., "The two are as two peas in a pod in their ultimate effect upon our liberties."

Why is socialism incompatible with man's liberty? Socialism cannot work except through an all-powerful state. The state has to be supreme in everything. When individuals begin to exert their God-given rights, the state has to suppress that freedom. So belief in God must be suppressed, and with that gone freedom of conscience and religion must also go. Those are the first of our liberties mentioned in the Bill of Rights.

There are some among us who would confuse the united order with socialism. That is a serious misunderstanding. It is significant to me that the Prophet Joseph Smith, after attending lectures on socialism in his day, made this official entry in the Church history: "I said I did not believe the doctrine" (Joseph Smith, History of the Church 6:33).

Socialism Disguised under Welfare State Measures

As citizens of this noble land, we have marched a long way down the soul-destroying road of socialism. If you question that statement, consider the recent testimonial from the Nobel prize-winning economist, Milton Friedman. He indicated that government spending in the United States at all levels amounts to over forty percent of today's total national income. If we continue to follow the trend in which we are heading today, two things will inevitably result: first, a loss of our personal freedom, and second, financial bankruptcy. This is the price we pay when we turn away from God and the principles which he has taught and turn to government to do everything for us. It is the formula by which nations become enslaved.

This nation was established by the God of heaven as a citadel of liberty. A constitution guaranteeing those liberties was designed under the superintending influence of heaven. I have recounted here before what took place in the St. George Temple when the Founding Fathers of this nation visited President Wilford Woodruff, who was then a member of the Twelve and not president of the Church. The republic which was established was the most nearly perfect system which could have been devised to lead men toward celestial principles. We may liken our system to the law of Moses which leads men to the higher law of Christ.

Today, two hundred years later, we must sadly observe that we have significantly departed from the principles established by the founders of our country. James Madison opposed the proposal to put Congress in the role of promoting the general welfare according to its whims in these words:

If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every state, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasure; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor. . . . Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for [and it was an issue then], it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America. [quoted in Donald L. Newquist, Prophets, Principles, and National Survival, p. 342]

That statement, given as a warning, has proved prophetic. Today Congress is doing what Madison warned about. Many are now advocating that which has become a general practice since the early 1930s: a redistribution of wealth through the federal tax system. That, by definition, is socialism!

Americans have always been committed to taking care of the poor, aged, and unemployed. We have done this on the basis of Judaic-Christian beliefs and humanitarian principles. It has been fundamental to our way of life that charity must be voluntary if it is to be charity. Compulsory benevolence is not charity. Today's socialists--who call themselves egalitarians--are using the federal government to redistribute wealth in our society, not as a matter of voluntary charity, but as a so-called matter of right. One HEW official said recently, "In this country, welfare is no longer charity, it is a right. More and more Americans feel that their government owes them something" (U.S. News and World Report, April 21, 1975, p. 49). President Grover Cleveland said--and we believe as a people--that though the people support the government the government should not support the people.

The chief weapon used by the federal government to achieve this "equality" is the system of transfer payments. This means that the federal governments collects from one income group and transfer payments to another by the tax system. These payments are made in the form of social security benefits, Medicare and Medicaid, and food stamps, to name a few. Today the cost of such programs has been going in the hole at the rate of 12 billion dollars a year; and, with increased benefits and greater numbers of recipients, even though the tax base has been increased we will have larger deficits in the future.

Today the party now in power is advocating and has support, apparently in both major parties, for a comprehensive national health insurance program--a euphemism for socialized medicine. Our major danger is that we are currently (and have been for forty years) transferring responsibility from the individual, local, and state governments to the federal government--precisely the same course that led to the economic collapse in Great Britain and New York City. We cannot long pursue the present trend without its bringing us to national insolvency.

Edmund Burke, the great British political philosopher, warned of the threat of economic equality. He said,

A perfect equality will indeed be produced--that is to say, equal wretchedness, equal beggary, and on the part of the petitioners, a woeful, helpless, and desperate disappointment. Such is the event of all compulsory equalizations. They pull down what is above; they never raise what is below; and they depress high and low together beneath the level of what was originally the lowest.

Are we part of the problem or part of the solution?

Recently a letter came to my office, accompanied by an article from your Daily Universe, on the matter of BYU students taking food stamps. The query of the letter was: "What is the attitude of the Church on taking food stamps?" The Church's view on this is well known. We stand for independence, thrift, and abolition of the dole. This was emphasized in the Saturday morning welfare meeting of general conference. "The aim of the Church is to help the people to help themselves. Work is to be re-enthroned as the ruling principle of the lives of our Church membership" (Heber J. Grant, Conference Report, October 1936, p. 3).

When you accept food stamps, you accept an unearned handout that other working people are paying for. You do not earn food stamps or welfare payments. Every individual who accepts an unearned government gratuity is just as morally culpable as the individual who takes a handout from taxpayers' money to pay his heat, electricity, or rent. There is no difference in principle between them. You did not come to this University to become a welfare recipient. You came here to be a light to the world, a light to society--to save society and to help to save this nation, the Lord's base of operations in these latter days, to ameliorate man's social conditions. You are not here to be a parasite or freeloader. The price you pay for "something for nothing" may be more than you can afford. Do not rationalize your acceptance of government gratuities by saying, "I am a contributing taxpayer too." By doing this you contribute to the problem which is leading this nation to financial insolvency.

Society may rationalize immorality, but God cannot condone it. Society sponsors Sabbathbreaking, but the Church counsels otherwise. Society profanes the name of Deity, but Latter-day Saints cannot countenance it. Because society condones a dole, which demoralizes man and weakens his God-given initiative and character, can we?

I know what it is, as many of your faculty members do, to work my way through school, taking classes only during winter quarters. If you don't have the finances to complete your education, drop out a semester and go to work and save. You'll be a better man or woman for so doing. You will have preserved your self-respect and initiative. Wisdom comes with experience and struggle, not just with going through a university matriculation. I hope you will not be deceived by current philosophies which will rob you of your godly dignity, self-respect, and initiative, those attributes that make a celestial inheritance possible. It is in that interest, and that only, that I have spoken so plainly to you.

My Hope for You, the Youth of Zion

In opening my remarks to you, beloved youth of the Church, I attempted to share with you a vision of your eternal possibilities. In closing my remarks, I share with you my hope for you:

I hope that you learn through your struggles the joy of achievement.

I hope that you recognize in the gospel of Jesus Christ a solution to our problems, temporal and spiritual.

I hope that you marry well, live together in love, rear a family in righteousness, and have joy and rejoicing in your posterity.

I hope that you follow the example and counsel of him whom the Lord has appointed as prophet, seer, and revelator.

I hope that you learn the joy of work, the ability to postpone wants, and the economic independence not to be a slave to any man.

I hope that you keep yourselves clean morally and spiritually, that your confidence will wax strong in the presence of God, as the scriptures say, and the Holy Ghost will be your constant companion (see D&C 121:45–46).

I hope that you will be united in philosophy, purpose, and action to the laws of the celestial kingdom.

I pray God's choicest blessings on you, my beloved brethren and sisters. May I say to you that there isn't anything in this world that's right that the leadership of this Church wouldn't do for the youth of the Church; and so I hope and pray that you realize the hope of those who love you and serve you and the possibilities of your potential as sons and daughters of God. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Where Did Barack Obama's Money Come From?

To All My Friends, this is long, but very important; please take the time to read it.

This election has me very worried. So many things to consider. About a year ago I would have voted for Obama. I have changed my mind three times since than. I watch all the news channels, jumping from one to another. I must say this drives my husband crazy. But, I feel if you view MSNBC, CNN, and Fox News, you might get some middle ground to work with. About six months ago, I started thinking 'where did the money come from for Obama'. I have four daughters who went to College, and we were middle class, and money was tight. We (including my girls) worked hard and there were lots of student loans.

I started looking into Obama's life.

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. 'Barry' (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan. During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a 'round the world' trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia, next Hyderabad in India, three weeks in Karachi, Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate's family, then off to Africa to visit his father's family. My question - Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York. It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack - not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia? It's not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia, he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago? Why not New York? He was already living in New York.

By 'chance' he met Antoin 'Tony' Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria, and a real estate developer in Chicago. Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named 'Entrepreneur of the Decade' by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association'. About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School. Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School? Where did he get the money for Law School? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago. Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented 'Rezar' which Rezko's firm. Rezko was one of Obama's first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago. In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with 'seed money' for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price). With ALL those Student Loans - Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko's wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama's new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama's boss. She is now Obama's chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz, Iran! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was 'sacked' after the press found out he was having regular contacts with 'Hamas', which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran. This past week, buried in the back part of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama's visit to Iraq, he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will 'Take care of things'.

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan? They are in charge of all those 'small' Internet campaign contribution for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on 'This Week' with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, 'My Muslim faith'. When questioned, 'he made a mistake'. Some mistake!

There is no other choice, Barack Hussein Obama cannot be president of this great nation, for he will destroy her . . . and that, we cannot allow to happen.

A Witness and a Warning

I am not alone in seeing the rise of Barack Obama being far too similar to the rise of Adolf Hitler. This woman is a devout Christian, and in times is very emphatic in her desire to for Americans to repent and return to the straight and narrow path. Take this part in the way it is intended, with love and compassion. She writes very poignantly of her childhood in Germany during the rise of Hitler and issues a witness and a warning to Americans.

Lori calls for Protestants and Catholics to gather together to fight this battle. I do not limit it to just them, but call to all Christians across the land, be you Mormon, Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, Assembly of God to the myriad of small Christian sects which exist. We must cease our infighting and turn to the teachings of Jesus Christ to lead us. United we succeed, divided we fall. Here is what has happened in the past when Christians, as a whole, waited too long to speak up and be heard.

Hymn to Adolph Hitler

In Germany, when Hitler came to power, it was a time of terrible financial depression. Money was worth nothing. In Germany people lost homes and jobs, just like in the American Depression in the 1930s, which we have read about in Thoene's Shiloh books.

In those days, in my homeland, Adolph Hitler was elected to power by promising "Change."He blamed the "Zionists" around the world for all our problems. He told everyone it was greedy Zionist Bankers who had caused every problem we had. He promised when he was leader, the greedy Zionist bankers would be punished. The Zionists, he promised, would be wiped off the face of the earth.

So Hitler was elected to power by only 1/3 the popular vote. A coalition of other political parties in parliament made him supreme leader. Then, when he was leader, he disgraced and expelled everyone in parliament who did not go along with him.

Yes. Change came to my homeland as the new leader promised it would. The teachers in German schools began to teach the children to sing songs in praise of Hitler. This was the beginning of the Hitler Youth movement. It began with praise of the Fuhrer's programs on the lips of innocent children. Hymns in praise of Hitler and his programs were being sung in the schoolrooms and in the play yard. Little girls and boys joined hands and sang these songs as they walked home from school.

My brother came home and told Papa what was happening at school. The political hymns of children proclaimed Change was coming to our homeland and the Fuhrer was a leader we could trust. I will never forget my father's face. Grief and fear. He knew that the best propaganda of the Nazis was song on the lips of little children.

That evening before he said grace at the dinner table, he placed his hands upon the heads of my brothers and me and prayed the Living Word upon us from Jeremiah 1:4-5…

'Now the Word of the Lord came to me, saying,
'Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
'and before you were born I consecrated you;
'I appointed you a prophet to the nations.'

Soon the children's songs praising the Fuhrer were heard everywhere on the streets and over the radio."With our Fuhrer to lead us, we can do it! We can change the world!"

Soon after that Papa, a pastor, was turned away from visiting elderly parishioners in hospitals. The people he had come to bring comfort of God's Word, were "no longer there." Where had they vanished to while under nationalized health care? It became an open secret. The elderly and sick began to disappear from hospitals, feet first, as "mercy killing" became the policy. Children with disabilities and those who had Down syndrome were euthanized.

People whispered, "Maybe it is better for them now. Put them out of misery. They are no longer suffering…And, of course, their death is better for the treasury of our nation. Our taxes no longer must be spent to care for such a burden." And so murder was called mercy.

The government took over private business. Industry and health care were "nationalized."NA-ZI means National Socialist Party) The businesses of all Jews were seized. (Perhaps you remember our story in Berlin on Krystalnacht in the book Munich Signature?)

The world and God's word were turned upside down. Hitler promised the people economic Change? Not change. It was, rather, Lucifer's very ancient Delusion leading to Destruction. What began with the propaganda of children singing a catchy tune ended in the deaths of millions of children. The reality of what came upon us is so horrible that you in this present generation cannot imagine it.

Our suffering is too great to ever tell in a book or show in a black and white newsreel. When I spoke to Bodie about some of these things, she wept and said she could not bear to write them. Perhaps one day she will, but I asked her, "who could bear to read our suffering?"

Yet with my last breaths I warn every Christian and Jew now in the name of the Lord: Unless your course of the church in America is spiritually changed now, returning to the Lord, there are new horrors yet to come.

I trembled last night when I heard the voices of American children raised in song, praising the name of Obama, the charismatic fellow who claims he is the American Messiah.

Yet I have heard what this man Obama says about abortion and the "mercy killing" of tiny babies who are not wanted.

There are so few of us left to warn you. I have heard that there are 69 million Catholics in America and 70 million Evangelical Christians.

Where are your voices? Where is your outrage? Where is passion and your vote? Do you vote based on an abortionist's empty promises and economics? Or do you vote according to the Bible? Thus says the Lord about every living child still in the womb…

‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
‘and before you were born I consecrated you…'

I have experienced the signs of the politics of Death in my youth. I see them again now. Christians! Unless you stand up now, you will lose your freedom of religion.

In America priests and preachers have already lost their freedom to speak openly from their pulpits of moral danger in political candidates. They cannot legally instruct you of which candidate holds fast to the precepts of scripture! American law forbids this freedom of speech to conservative pastors or they will lose their "tax exempt" status.

And yet I have heard the words of Obama's pastor Damning America! I have heard the words of Obama damning and mocking all of you in small towns because you "Cling to your religion…"

But I am a woman whose name is unknown. My life is recorded as a work of fiction. I have no fear of reprisal when I speak truth to you from the pages of a book. (Though the Zion Covenant books are mocked and condemned by the Left in America.)

I am an old woman and will soon go to be with my Lord. I have no fear for myself, but for all of you and for your children, I tremble. I tremble at the hymns to a political leader which your children will sing at school.

(Though even now a hymn or a prayer to God and our Lord Jesus is against the law in public school!)Your vote must put a stop to what will come upon America if Barrack Obama is elected.
I pray you will personally heed this warning for the sake of your children and your grandchildren. Do not be deceived. The Lord in Jeremiah 1:7-8 commands: … every believer to speak up!

"Do not say, 'I am only a youth,' for to all whom I send you, you shall go, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them for I am with you, declares the Lord!"

Dear Friends,

I was a young girl in Germany and lived through difficult times. We have since then had a wonderful life. The world, as difficult as it has been, at least for many years remembered what happened politically in Germany with the Depression in the 1930s. You remember how it began and thus progressed with the horrors of war which followed.

The battle was at the beginning a Spiritual battle.

You have read some parts of my story in the Zion Covenant, from growing up in Germany in the days when evil men prevailed and TRUTH was turned upside down. White became black through a barrage of propaganda and constant repetition of lies against those who spoke the truth.

Here is my warning to all: Perhaps it will be my last warning. (I wake up each day surprised that I am still here and not in heaven with those who wait for me!)

America and the whole world hangs in the balance now. I believe that America will stand or fall depending on who is elected President this year. Good Americans, like the good Germans of my youth, may think that the issues of their nation center around the economy. I tell you now that the fate of the greatest nation on earth does not depend on money.

Every issue must only be judged worthy and true by the Word of God. Prosperity comes to a nation and a people who serves the Lord first. That is a basic spiritual principle which is seen in every book of Holy Scripture.

'If My people, who are called by My Name,
will humble themselves, and turn from their wicked ways,
then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.'
(2 Chronicles 7:14)

This is where the healing of America begins: Friend, you must begin with examination of your own life first and the confession of your sins. Then pray for your nation. Ask yourself now: who supports the rights of the unborn babies and also of those who are handicapped?

History tells us why this is critical:

In the Germany of my childhood, everyone worried about the economy. Paying bills. Buying bread. Money! And there were 1 million abortions in the year before Hitler came to power. (A drop in the bucket compared to America.) The excuse given for the murder of unborn babies was that economic times were hard. How could a family feed another mouth?

There followed the legalized forced sterilization of parents who had a handicapped child or who were judged "racially impure."

Next came the legalized euthanasia of those who were handicapped. (An example of who would be killed is the Downs Syndrome child of Sarah Palin. He would have been killed immediately at birth.)

Do we not see such choices carried out with tiny babies being strangled or left to die by abortionists today? Evil advances forward in America by law! This is done with the support of men and women in office who have sold their souls for power. In those days in Germany all, who were, as I am now, elderly or ill, were gassed. These were all called "useless eaters."

Christians and Jews who spoke out against this evil were labeled as radical "religious fanatics." A campaign of false accusation, slander and persecution began, targeting people of faith. It was "unpopular" to speak the TRUTH. Were these persecuted Christians people like you? Many were jailed and eventually killed. Some escaped with only their lives.

Finally, by millions, Jews were hunted, imprisoned and killed. You know all this from the Zion Covenant books. I lived it.

Now, today, I hear the words and know the deeds of this Barack Obama and I know that he is a "gifted," convincing, fellow. He is telling you how bad you have it and saying to Americans he is their messiah and the answer to all problems.

The propaganda machine loves Obama. The power of the media is much greater than in my childhood; a frightening thought.

But here is TRUTH: of all men in the US government this Obama has most strongly encouraged and urged the on-going slaughter of the unborn…"the useless mouths" of America. This slaughter is performed in the name of "A woman's reproductive rights."

In the land of my birth, the Holocaust all began with the first step of legalized abortion. Abortion was ENCOURAGED by a downturn in the world economics.

Scripture teaches us the survival of a nation is not about the economy. The only nation which will stand is the nation which follows the Lord and the true teachings of scripture.

I warn you, my dear American friends, with love in my heart and with my last breaths that no man or woman, Protestant or Catholic, can remain in God's favor or blessing if they vote for this Obama. This is a man who voted four times to leave tiny babies who survived abortions to die!

I know many devout American Catholics in my life and many who have never voted for the man Obama who is gifted in his words but NOT speaking the TRUE WORDS OF OUR LORD OR THE CHURCH!

You cannot be a true Catholic Christian and vote for Obama. To vote for him is to vote for continued infanticide. To Protestant Christians, I say, you are not a Christian if you support the slaughter of the unborn!

Christianity and abortion are spiritually impossible companions.

Protestants and Catholics MUST UNITE in this battle. The victory must be overwhelming!

Do you feel you cannot vote for Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin, who are for the LIFE of the unborn and handicapped? If you cannot support these leaders, then for the sake of your soul, NOT TO VOTE for Obama or anyone who does not support protection of LIFE!

For all those American politicians who have the chance to change the course toward destruction, I who have been witness to national and worldwide tragedy, urge you protect those in your society who are the most helpless. Publicly deny your support of Obama. According to 2 Chronicles 7:14, you must turn your life around for the sake of your soul and your country!

To those politicians who use "FAITH" to get votes while they follow the path of destruction, I must speak this warning: "God will not be mocked."

If you, as a Christian, can vote, and if you can encourage others to vote, then you must VOTE FOR LIFE. In the judgment of heaven, there is no other choice but LIFE and protection of the innocent for a Christian.

I am thankful to Bodie and Brock for letting me be heard once more. They agree with history and with the Truth of scripture. Most of my generation is gone now. You who are taking control of the world have a fight ahead of you as the memory of our peril dims. I have heard and listened closely to the voices of Sarah Palin and John McCain, and my spirit bears witness that they speak truth and family and also for John McCain. You must all remember what happened to us and not repeat the same mistake of apathy.

If I cannot write to you again I pray we will meet in heaven and you will tell me I helped you encourage others to do the right thing for the sake of your soul and for the nation.

ACORN Could Cause Obama's Fall

As Obama lengthens his lead, the Republicans are praying that the election becomes close enough for the Democrats to steal. But meanwhile, ACORN, the radical community group, is becoming an embarrassment for Obama.

It is not as if its shenanigans are likely to tip the result, with the Democrats so far ahead. But as it is raided by the FBI in state after state (11 so far), it is becoming identified as the electoral equivalent of Greenpeace, extremists who will stop at nothing to get their way.

What makes ACORN particularly embarrassing for Obama is that he used to be one of them. He served as general counsel for ACORN in Illinois, channeled millions to the organization from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (whose funds he distributed) and has lately spent $800,000 of his campaign money to subsidize the group's activities.

For this emolument, ACORN has registered voters 15 times over, canvassed the graveyards for votes, and prepared to commit electoral fraud on a massive scale.

With friends like this, Obama doesn't need enemies. As their radical activities make headlines every day, Obama's intimate involvement with these radicals becomes more and more of a political liability.

The other Obama scandals have no topical relevance. The Rev. Wright no longer spews hatred from the pulpit and has apparently been persuaded to stay away from media interviews. William Ayers is likewise making himself scarce, and the Obama/Ayers relationship, whatever it may have been, is clearly in the past.

Rezko is facing sentencing in his own corruption case, but isn't likely to turn on the one man who may acquire the power to pardon him.

But, as Election Day approaches and early balloting proceeds in many states, ACORN's tactics will get more and more media attention. As election officials discover ACORN frauds, the association will become more injurious to Obama, particularly when it is his own campaign that is funding many of the fraudulent activities.

At the very least, the negative publicity ACORN will attract will paint Obama as a radical with questionable judgment. At the most, it might cause voters to wonder if he is not himself involved in electoral fraud.

The recent book by Wall Street Journal editor John Fund, "Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy," discusses the prevalence of voter fraud, made newly possible by lax enforcement of laws requiring identification to vote. As Fund indicates, the motor/voter laws have encouraged waves of new voters, many of them ineligible to participate. Let us remember that eight of the Sept. 11 hijackers were registered to vote!

So ACORN is the gift that will keep on giving as its activities attract attention while Election Day nears. But are these McCain attacks on Obama going to work?

Clearly they have not so far. Obama has lower negatives than McCain, and his unfavorable rating has not risen despite the avalanche of attack advertising to which he has been subjected.

Possibly, voters are just inured to the attacks and disregard them. But more likely they are just distracted by the financial meltdown all around them. We have never had a presidential race, since 1944, where the contest was not the most important news in the four weeks before the election. (In 1944, the war overshadowed the election, much to the frustration of the Republican candidate, Thomas E. Dewey.)

The candidates seem unable to get a word in edgewise as the financial news dominates. People follow the Dow Jones more than the Gallup, Rasmussen, or Zogby polls.

If the presidential race remains an afterthought, crowded out by the financial news, Obama will waltz into the White House by a comfortable margin. But if the stock market stops its gyrations for a while and no new household name/corporation or bank goes broke, the negatives against Obama will compel attention at last.

And then the race may close swiftly and dramatically.

Here's the question? Will their criminal activities, the fact that Obama's campaign paid an ACORN subsidiary $800,000 for voter registration, the fact that he is a communist who doesn't even try to hide, the fact that he paraphrases Karl Marx often, the fact that he hates the America I know and love and is fighting with everything in him to bring a Marxist society to reality in America, the fact that he despises and disrespects honest, hard-working Americans, the fact that he has associated with, gone to church with, worked with and befriended a terrorist, a racist preacher, a racist priest and worked with a criminal organization . . . will any of that keep people from voting for him? No. Because they believe him when he tells them none of this true. But people, listen to what he's said. Read what he has written. Study his voting record. Study his policies. Study his rhetoric. But no, that they won't do . . . or if they do, they buy into "America is a racist, terrorist nation and needs to be destroyed" rhetoric and cannot see the truth when it is right before him.

There is no explanation for the Obama virus which has swept the nation.

The Ant and the Grasshopper - Revised

This is an old story, both the original and revised versions, but I somehow think it appropriate to post at this time . . . because the new version? That's Barack Obama's Marxist attitude toward hard-working Americans.

I don't know who came up with this, but much thanks to Michael for sending it on to me:

THE ANT STORY

TRADITIONAL VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, "We shall overcome."

Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama, John Kerry & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity and Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer! The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Hillary Clinton gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients.

The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow. The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be very careful how you vote November 2008

This is a video explaining the strong ties and support Barack Obama gave to Kenya's Socialist Contender for their top seat, his cousin Odinga. A violent man, strongly Muslim with strong Muslim support in that nation. And here's Barack, shoulder to shoulder with this murderer. And in case you'd like to say, oh that had to be some time ago . . . it was 2007. A trip made on the American taxpayer's bill. It's a little over 8 minutes but every second is worth watching.

A Trip Down Obama Lane

Let's take a little trip down Obama Lane:

On April 6, 2008 Barack said:

Private Fundraiser, San Francisco, CA

". . . some of the small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for twenty-five years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and each successive administration has said somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment, as a way to explain their frustration."

Hmmm, cling to their guns or religion . . . wow, that is startlingly similar to Karl Marx's:

"Religious distress is at the same time the expression of real distress and the protest against real distress. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, just as it is the spirit of a spiritless situation. It is the opium of the people. The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is required for their real happiness. The demand to give up the illusion about its condition is the demand to give up a condition which needs illusions."

And yet, Americans, in a complete and utter betrayal of all that is good about America, are still voting for Barack Obama. Why?

Obama romanticized his father, either coloring the past to suit his vision or so severely disillusioned by the bigamist, irresponsible, wife-beating, amoral man that truly was his father. The man who married at 18 and had a child, both whom he abandoned to come to America where he seduced Obama's mother and then left them to go back to Africa. Then while married to the woman in Africa, and Obama's mother, he went back to Harvard and started up with another woman. He fathered multiple children with multiple women. But Obama ignored all that and simply romanticized his father into an educated man who loved his family. Huh. Any way you look at Obama's version of things . . . it shows a severe lack of the ability to look at truth and fact and accept it.

Of course, I'm not surprised because that is precisely how he looks at America and Americans. Except he's painted us with a different brush than the one he painted his father. He's been much kinder with his good-for-nothing father. He views Americans as people "clinging to their God and their guns" . . . not hard-working people who love their families and nation. He views Americans as not bright enough to educate their own children. He views Americans as not bright enough to get themselves out of an economic mess. He views Americans as not bright enough to know that what he says and what he does are two different things, always.

Let's bump ahead to the present, Obama has ties to terrorists , multiple visits to Middle Eastern lands which support and/or hosts terrorists, ties to criminal activity with William Ayers (domestic terrorist who admits to bombing Americans, and multiple American sites including attempts on the Pentagon and Capitol Hill and who wouldn't rule out bombing America in the future), Tony Rezko and ACORN and more. Let's face facts, if he were applying for any government job which required any type of security check . . . he'd fail. He'd wouldn't fail just a little bit, he'd crash and burn and would NEVER be considered for any type of government job. There are only a few jobs a man like him can have, senator and president are two of them. And here's why, although the government would, and probably does, consider him a huge security risk . . . the American people probably don't understand or care. Dick Morris pointed this out on Wednesday, the night of the last presidential debate, and you know what? He's right!

I'm calling a halt to this trip down Obama Lane. I thought I could complete the trip, but I cannot. Barack Obama has fleeced America and will continue to do so. I fear that America will wake up one day, find America in shambles and their lives crumbling around them and realize that the vote they cast for Barack Obama was the vote that was the beginning of the end of that America which was Ronald Reagan's shining city on a hill. For that will be moment you will realize that you can't get something for free; that there really are bad people, with untold power, you cannot negotiate with; that sometimes peace doesn't work as much as we want it to; that sometimes the price for freedom is buckling down, working hard and recognizing that no one, and I mean no one, gets everything handed to them on a silver platter without paying a HUGE price.

You will note the book Obama is reading in the above picture, if not, let me enlighten you: The Post-American World. Click on the link, they have a description of the book and interview with the author. It is not an anti-American book, per se, but something about how the rest of the world will rise and leave America behind. Not worth reading, in my opinion, but apparently Barack Obama is interested in it.

My fellow Americans, freedom is not free and it carries a great responsibility. Do not so cavalierly throw away what billions across the world wish they had. You can be proud of your nation for we are all a nation of liberty, strength and courage. It is time to stand for your country rather than destroy it. For if you succeed in destroying America you will have destroyed the last great hope for a free world.

And for my Latter-day Saint readers:

Here, too, is a portion of another talk by Ezra Taft Benson where he clearly define scommunism and socialism . . . both of these things to which Barack Obama subscribes and is promoting in his agenda for the American people. The ignorance of Americans, largely, is the reason Obama is getting away with it.

From President Benson's A Vision and a Hope for the Youth given in an address to Brigham Young University students in April of 1977, he said:

Satan's Counterfeit System

But whenever the God of heaven establishes by revelation his design, Satan always comes among men to pervert the doctrine, saying, "Believe it not." He often establishes a counterfeit system, designed to deceive the children of men. His aim, as it was before the foundation of this earth was laid, is to thwart the agency of man and to subjugate him. Throughout all ages of mankind, the adversary has used human agents and despotic governments to establish his purpose. Satan is determined to destroy all that is dear, all that will ennoble and exalt man to a celestial kingdom.

Isaiah foresaw the time when a marvelous work and a wonder would come forth among men (see Isaiah 29:14). Isaiah also predicted that there would be those that "seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord, and their works are in the dark, and they [shall] say, Who seeth us?" (Isaiah 29:15). He saw the time when the work, man, shall say of him that made him, "He made me not," denying his creation (see Isaiah 29:16). It is well to ask what self-proclaimed atheists came on the human scene following the restoration of the gospel, who established secret works of darkness to overthrow nations by violent revolution and who blasphemously proclaimed the atheistic doctrine that God made us not. Yes, Satan works through human agents. We need only look to some of the ignoble figures in human history who were contemporary to the restoration of the gospel to discover fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy. I refer to the infamous founders of communism, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Today, if we are alert, we can see further fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecies.

Communism--a System Antithetical to the Gospel of Christ

Through the instigation of Marx and Engels, a most successful counterfeit to the united order was introduced into the world. The declaration of principles found in their Manifesto to the World advocated the overthrow of capitalism and free enterprise, the abolition of private property, the elimination of the family as a social unit, the abolition of all classes, the overthrow of all governments, and the establishment of communal ownership of property in a classless, stateless society. All this was to be accomplished by revolution.

On July 3, 1936, the First Presidency published this warning to Church members. I quote it in part; I hope you will get a copy of the full statement for your files. In part, the statement reads:

. . . Communism is not a political party, nor a political plan under the Constitution; it is a system of government that is the opposite of our Constitutional government. . . .

Since Communism, established, would destroy our American Constitutional government, to support Communism is treasonable to our free institutions, and no patriotic American citizen may become either a Communist or supporter of Communism.

To our Church members we say, Communism is not the United Order, and bears only the most superficial resemblance thereto. Communism is based upon intolerance and force, the United Order upon love and freedom of conscience and action. . . .

Communists cannot establish the United Order, nor will Communism bring it about. . . .

Communism being thus hostile to loyal American citizenship and incompatible with true Church membership, of necessity no loyal American citizen and no faithful Church member can be a Communist.

We call upon all Church members completely to eschew [and shun] Communism. The safety of our divinely inspired Constitutional government and the welfare of our Church imperatively demand that Communism shall have no place in America.

The First Presidency

You students have only to read some of the speeches and writings of the exiled Russian Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn to appreciate this farsighted warning of the First Presidency.

I have been on both sides of the Iron Curtain several times. I have talked to these godless leaders face to face. I say to you with all the sincerity of my soul that since 1933 this godless counterfeit to the gospel has made tremendous progress towards its objective of world domination, for over one-third of the human family are now under totalitarian subjugation.

Today we are in a battle for the bodies and souls of men. It is a battle between two opposite systems: freedom and slavery, Christ and anti-Christ. The struggle today is more momentous than a decade ago, yet today the conventional wisdom, so called, is that we have got to learn to live with communism, to give up our ideas about national sovereignty. You hear that repeated today. Tell that to the millions--yes, the scores of millions--who have met death or imprisonment under the tyranny of communism. Learn to live with communism? Such would be the death knell of freedom and all we hold dear.

The gospel of Jesus Christ can prosper only in an atmosphere of freedom. As members of his Church, we have a major responsibility to do all in our power to see that freedom is preserved and safeguarded. I pray that God will bless you to see communism for what it really is: the greatest system of human slavery that the world has ever known. May you not be deceived into believing that the communists have moderated their goal toward world domination. I say to you that so-called detente is a fraud. Time will prove it to be such.

There is no excuse for any BYU instructor to grant a forum to an avowed communist for the purpose of teaching communism on this campus. It may be done on other campuses in the United States, but it will not be done here.

Socialism--a Philosophy Incompatible with Man's Liberty

Another notable counterfeit system to the Lord's plan is collectivized socialism. Socialism derives its philosophy from the founders of communism, Marx and Engels. Communism in practice is socialism. Its purpose is world socialism, which the communists seek to achieve by revolution, and which the socialists seek to achieve by evolution. Both communism and socialism have the same effect upon the individual--a loss of personal liberty. As was said so well by President J. Reuben Clark, Jr., "The two are as two peas in a pod in their ultimate effect upon our liberties."

Why is socialism incompatible with man's liberty? Socialism cannot work except through an all-powerful state. The state has to be supreme in everything. When individuals begin to exert their God-given rights, the state has to suppress that freedom. So belief in God must be suppressed, and with that gone freedom of conscience and religion must also go. Those are the first of our liberties mentioned in the Bill of Rights.

There are some among us who would confuse the united order with socialism. That is a serious misunderstanding. It is significant to me that the Prophet Joseph Smith, after attending lectures on socialism in his day, made this official entry in the Church history: "I said I did not believe the doctrine" (Joseph Smith, History of the Church 6:33).

Socialism Disguised under Welfare State Measures

As citizens of this noble land, we have marched a long way down the soul-destroying road of socialism. If you question that statement, consider the recent testimonial from the Nobel prize-winning economist, Milton Friedman. He indicated that government spending in the United States at all levels amounts to over forty percent of today's total national income. If we continue to follow the trend in which we are heading today, two things will inevitably result: first, a loss of our personal freedom, and second, financial bankruptcy. This is the price we pay when we turn away from God and the principles which he has taught and turn to government to do everything for us. It is the formula by which nations become enslaved.

This nation was established by the God of heaven as a citadel of liberty. A constitution guaranteeing those liberties was designed under the superintending influence of heaven. I have recounted here before what took place in the St. George Temple when the Founding Fathers of this nation visited President Wilford Woodruff, who was then a member of the Twelve and not president of the Church. The republic which was established was the most nearly perfect system which could have been devised to lead men toward celestial principles. We may liken our system to the law of Moses which leads men to the higher law of Christ.

Today, two hundred years later, we must sadly observe that we have significantly departed from the principles established by the founders of our country. James Madison opposed the proposal to put Congress in the role of promoting the general welfare according to its whims in these words:

If Congress can employ money indefinitely to the general welfare, they may take the care of religion into their own hands; they may appoint teachers in every state, county and parish and pay them out of their public treasure; they may take into their own hands the education of children, establishing in like manner schools throughout the Union; they may assume the provision of the poor. . . . Were the power of Congress to be established in the latitude contended for [and it was an issue then], it would subvert the very foundations, and transmute the very nature of the limited Government established by the people of America. [quoted in Donald L. Newquist, Prophets, Principles, and National Survival, p. 342]

That statement, given as a warning, has proved prophetic. Today Congress is doing what Madison warned about. Many are now advocating that which has become a general practice since the early 1930s: a redistribution of wealth through the federal tax system. That, by definition, is socialism!

Americans have always been committed to taking care of the poor, aged, and unemployed. We have done this on the basis of Judaic-Christian beliefs and humanitarian principles. It has been fundamental to our way of life that charity must be voluntary if it is to be charity. Compulsory benevolence is not charity. Today's socialists--who call themselves egalitarians--are using the federal government to redistribute wealth in our society, not as a matter of voluntary charity, but as a so-called matter of right. One HEW official said recently, "In this country, welfare is no longer charity, it is a right. More and more Americans feel that their government owes them something" (U.S. News and World Report, April 21, 1975, p. 49). President Grover Cleveland said--and we believe as a people--that though the people support the government the government should not support the people.

The chief weapon used by the federal government to achieve this "equality" is the system of transfer payments. This means that the federal governments collects from one income group and transfer payments to another by the tax system. These payments are made in the form of social security benefits, Medicare and Medicaid, and food stamps, to name a few. Today the cost of such programs has been going in the hole at the rate of 12 billion dollars a year; and, with increased benefits and greater numbers of recipients, even though the tax base has been increased we will have larger deficits in the future.

Today the party now in power is advocating and has support, apparently in both major parties, for a comprehensive national health insurance program--a euphemism for socialized medicine. Our major danger is that we are currently (and have been for forty years) transferring responsibility from the individual, local, and state governments to the federal government--precisely the same course that led to the economic collapse in Great Britain and New York City. We cannot long pursue the present trend without its bringing us to national insolvency.

Edmund Burke, the great British political philosopher, warned of the threat of economic equality. He said,

A perfect equality will indeed be produced--that is to say, equal wretchedness, equal beggary, and on the part of the petitioners, a woeful, helpless, and desperate disappointment. Such is the event of all compulsory equalizations. They pull down what is above; they never raise what is below; and they depress high and low together beneath the level of what was originally the lowest.

Are we part of the problem or part of the solution?

OPEC to Cut Output by 1.5 Million Barrels a Day

The OPEC cartel ordered a cut in oil production of at least 1.5 million barrels a day on Friday. The reduction will come into effect on Nov. 1, according to Ali Al-Naimi, the Saudi oil minister.

Oil prices have more than halved since peaking at $147 a barrel in July. After the OPEC statement, the price for Brent crude immediately dropped below $63 a barrel.

In case you didn't remember, Barack Obama is vehemently against drilling on U.S. soil, plumbing our own resources rather than depending on OPEC which is comprised, largely, of our enemies.

We can no longer allow OPEC to dictate to Americans how much we pay for our gas. Americans have demanded of Congress, Drill Here, Drill Now. Barack Obama and his liberal Congress, i.e. Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, will rescind that law instantly. They WANT us to remain hostage to our enemies.

It's time America tell Barack Obama NO! We must vote for John McCain/Sarah Palin on November 4th.
