We tend to make sure our kids have at least three gifts, but if that's all there is, so be it -- we're filled with love and with the joy of the season either way, and I think presents often get in the way of the things that are really important. As we've gone through our financial ups and downs and our Christmases have changed sizes, it never ceases to amaze me how, after every season, the kids all say, "This was the best Christmas ever," and I have to agree.

We have had, on occasion, told the kids that Christmas will be a little small -- but they never seem to see it that way. (Except for the story about Joseph I told you earlier -- poor kid thought all he was getting for Christmas was a coloring book. If that really was the case, I would have warned him beforehand. :)Tristi Pinkstonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12122250747480013804noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-738015707983587606.post-29580106970869403772007-12-19T12:57:00.000-07:002007-12-19T12:57:00.000-07:00So sorry for all the bad news, Candace, but glad A...So sorry for all the bad news, Candace, but glad Alvin's found a transplant. But I ...Hi Keeley - I have always liked Alan Keyes. But I listened to him on an in depth interview with Sean Hannity the other day. He refused to answer any of Sean's questions. He was aggressive, obnoxious and belligerent. Sean asked him over and over if he filed his income taxes, as an example, and Keyes wouldn't answer, just railed against the IRS and how we can't be forced to pay taxes. I don't know, by the time the interview was done I had such a bad taste in my mouth. He called the rest of the Republican candidate field liars, or rather "said you couldn't believe them" but wouldn't go so far as to say they were liars. Semantics. Anyway, after that interview, there's no way I'd vote for him. He just ranted and ranted and ranted. I was so disappointed in him. Because, like I said, I've always liked him.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16986635883342034311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-738015707983587606.post-90736390299389526902007-12-19T09:41:00.000-07:002007-12-19T09:41:00.000-07:00{{hugs and love to you today}}You always have such...{{hugs and love to you today}}

You always have such great perspective.
