I'm not easily offended and not terribly self-centered. But sometimes I judge people who are crude and rough in their actions and language. I have learned to curb pride whenever I can because I find life has a way of humbling you if you can't learn to humble yourself.Framedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13703547279309902320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-738015707983587606.post-57223770552142239202007-08-19T17:33:00.000-06:002007-08-19T17:33:00.000-06:00Hi Tristi,No kidding!Hi Tristi,

No kidding!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16986635883342034311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-738015707983587606.post-84209782330579683502007-08-19T17:32:00.000-06:002007-08-19T17:32:00.000-06:00Jordan, thanks for dropping by. Now as to your post. When I was a youth, I was very judgmental and it cost me dearly because I have only one or two friends from high school that I keep in touch with. When I realized that treated people the way that I did, I changed my ways. I decided that I didn't want to live that way anymore. I wanted to be true to others and to myself. This new awareness of myself has given me the ability to show love for myself and for others. Now I have long lasting friendships. Now, don't think I am perfect, because I am not, but all I have to do is remember how I was back in high school nearly 20 years ago and how I treated others & that is all that it takes to put me back on the path to do what is right.Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12641120697627003615noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-738015707983587606.post-44088541444227887492007-08-19T09:33:00.000-06:002007-08-19T09:33:00.000-06:00Dawn thanks for dropping by. I actually think I am probably more prideful than it shows. It is truly something I worry about and try not to have. Speaking of judgement, I hope you won't judge me because I don't have a common interest in LDS as you mentioned on my blog. I had to laugh about the racist comment you made, haha I mean the comment about not being racist. I so agree with you and you put it so well. I tend to be a bit of a Pollyanna which can also get me into trouble but at least I am happy.

There is one thing that really gets me going related to judgement. When there is a rule or instructions for something, there are those that follow, and those that don't. If a rule follower says something, she is called a goody-two-shoes, and is considered prideful or arrogant or legalistic. What interests me is that those people say that, all the while breaking the rule or law and I would assume having the feeling of entitlement to do so, or the feeling of being above the rule or law. It seems a little contradictory to me that they should call someone else arrogant.

Sorry, your blog, my rant.Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08538083856616067005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-738015707983587606.post-58030577977596786532007-08-19T08:46:00.000-06:002007-08-19T08:46:00.000-06:00Marja -- you're an amazing woman. It's good and bad and indifferent. I suppose though as we are tought to use everything in moderation that pride and judgment have to come into play now and again. We need those compases in order to direct our thoughts and opinions. I can live w/ being a little prideful as well.
